Welcome to the ‘Clearing-House Mechanism’ Web portal on Biological Diversity.
The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is an international agreement established by the United Nations to preserve biodiversity worldwide. Tunisia ratified the CBD on May 3, 1993
La CDB est un accord international établi par les Nations Unies pour préserver la diversité biologique du monde entier.
CBD has three main objectives: conservation of biological diversity, sustainable use of its components, and ensure fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising out of the utilization of genetic resources.
The Convention attaches great importance to the exchange of information and cooperation between countries. To facilitate this process, CDB has developed an international network of partners called "the biodiversity information clearing House ". This website contributes to this global network by highlighting the work carried out by Tunisia in the framework of CBD. |
